Ok...I am horrible at blogging!

Sorry again for the delay of posts...I think I am about to give up and just update this when I can considering it has been since Nov. 2008 (we are only 4 months from Nov. 2009) Anyway, here are some pictures of what's been going on with us.

Okay, these pictures are backwards from our trip to see Tim's family this summer, but I'm not going to reverse them so just pretend or start at the bottom! :)
This is the church that filmed Facing the Giants, Fly Wheel, and Fireproof. We stopped here on our way home from Florida this summer. It is in Albany, GA.

This is at Disney's Animal Kingdom's Lion King Show. Tim got picked out of the audience and had to make a warthog sound in the microphone. Tim always seems to get picked out of the crowd....this happened before at Busch Gardens in Tampa last year.

Tim and I at Animal Kingdom
Entrance to Animal Kingdom in Orlando, FL
Tim and I at the Tampa Rays game in Tampa Bay, FL (Summer 2009)
Entrance of the Tropicana Field where the Rays play. This was the first time I have ever seen an indoor baseball game with air conditioning, and this is saying a lot considering the number of baseball games I have been to in my life! ;)
Tim and I on the beach at Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL.
At Tim's parents' condos, we saw three baby armadillo and they let us get close up to them. Tim's dad even petted one of them. Then it jumped at me, and I SCREAMED!

Before arriving in Florida, Tim and I stopped in Atlanta. We visited a few spots here because Tim actually used to live in Atlanta for one month! :) He showed me his old apt. building where he lived and we went to the Olympic Park and ate at The Cheesecake Factory.

Another fun past-time this summer has been spending time at my parent's house. They got a new pool put in and it is gorgeous and lots of fun! Too bad school is about to start up again.

Just a little update on us!

Well, life for the Lindsay's has been pretty incredibly busy for the past 2 or 3 months as you can tell from the lack of postings we have put on our blog.

To say the least, we are learning to slow down in life. We need to take time for Jesus and ourselves a lot more often! :) You live and learn, as they say.

Blaire played softball this fall at Bellevue and had a blast until the last game of the season when a teammate threw a ball to her trying to make a play at 3rd base. Well, needless to say, I tried to listen to the advice my dad always gave me..."Keep your eye on the ball!" Lets just say, I took this tidbit of advice a little too literally. Well, here is a picture to show you what happened as a result...
So...here is the story. Our semi-pro shortstop stopped a very hard hit line drive while there were runners on first and second. Therefore, the play was at third, where I happened to be playing. Well, my reaction time was a little too slow to say the least. I ran to third and turned around to catch the ball, only to find that the ball had already been thrown. Therefore, instead of going into my glove, which really was the object, I KEPT MY EYE ON THE BALL! Literally! The ball just went plop right onto my cheek bone. This happened about 3 weeks ago now, so my eye is still a little tender and dark, but it looks MUCH better than it did in the above picture. No more bruising (purple color). Just thought I would share with all that we love.

Hope your lives are blessed as ever. We love you all. Let us hear from you soon. If not, we wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. Give thanks to Jesus for all of the wonderful blessings He has given us in this life. Focus on the blessings not the other current circumstances in this crazy nation. Wow, isn't it crazy? Well, God's children, it is long past time we speak up and boast on Jesus!!! Let go of greed and praise God for all! We love you all!

Busy start to School Year

Well folks,

Right now things at work are pretty stressful. I have 20 kids in my classroom, but started with 22. Lost one and now another (both this past week). The second was an answer to prayer. He has major major major emotional issues. In fact, in the 2 weeks we have been at school, he has already beaten up two other boys in my room, the second of which was sent to the ER. I literally thought his arm was broken, but PRAISE GOD it wasn't. It is very bruised though. Oh the joys of working in a public school system. No corporal punishment, no prayer, etc. Teachers seem to catch all the flack these days anyway.

But, on to more positive things, Tim and I are doing well. We are extremely happy to be in the Bible Fellowship class we are in at Bellevue. We have such a spiritual support system there. Tim is in school finishing up his second class. He is working on his Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing. He sure is great at what he does, and he loves his job. I am playing softball at Bellevue and can't wait! I haven't played softball in years. It is probably my favorite sport, considering my family's history with baseball. Oh and by the way, my first cousin Joseph Tyler Massey just got drafted by the Colorado Rockies Rookie League, the Casper Ghosts. :) Isn't that exciting?

Sorry no pictures, we just got a new computer and we haven't put any pictures on it yet. Will post some soon, I promise. Hope everyone is well.

Daisy's new pool

Last week, I was working at Vacation Bible School at our church and on the way home decided to stop by Fred's. It has been so hot. So, I decided to buy Daisy a kiddie pool! Little did I know, she LOVED it! She has so much fun jumping in and out of it. At first, she thought the animals printed on the sides/bottom of the pool were toys. She likes to try and bite at them. I think she thought she could pick them up and play with them. She even started to bite the outside of the pool to get at them. HAHA! She loves to jump in and out of the pool, so Tim had to hold her for the first picture. She is still scared to lay down in it, but she loves getting in and out to stay cool! We are enjoying our baby doggy, Daisy! :)

It has been toooooo long!

Sorry about the lapse in blogging for us. It was an extremely busy school year for me. I am in my first week of summer break and am loving it. This is the time of year when I realize why I became a teacher! :) Well, I have lots to add to the blog as you can imagine so hang on...

My brother, Ryne, finally graduates with his MBA from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. Above is him walking across the stage, below is our whole family (minus Tim, he had to work) -May 2008

Daisy, We're Not in Kansas Anymore!

A couple of nights ago, we had some very very strong winds come through Oakland. The pictures below are proof. Daisy's kennel in the back yard ended up in our neighbor's back yard. Tim and the boys had to get it back over the fence. This was quite an eventful evening. Pretty funny too! :)

Don't worry though, all is well now!
